TestCaseAI (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered test case generation service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Email address, name, and password when you create an account.
  • User Content: User stories and other content you submit for test case generation.
  • Generated Content: Test cases generated by our service.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you use our service, including features accessed and actions taken.
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Process your requests and generate test cases
  • Send you service-related communications
  • Respond to your inquiries and support requests
  • Monitor and analyze usage trends
  • Detect and prevent fraud and abuse

4. AI Processing

When you submit a user story, it is processed by our AI system (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to generate test cases. Your user stories are:

  • Transmitted securely to our AI provider
  • Not used to train AI models
  • Stored in your account for your future reference
  • Deletable at your request

5. Third-Party Integrations

When you connect a third-party tool such as Jira, we fetch the data needed to generate test artifacts on-demand. We treat that data as transient and do not retain its content.

  • Jira ticket content is processed transiently and is not permanently stored unless explicitly saved by the customer. When you generate from a Jira epic, the epic and its stories are fetched in-memory, sent to our AI provider for analysis, and dropped at the end of the request.
  • What we keep: Issue keys (e.g. WEB-123), Jira URLs, and the generated test artifacts you save. We never persist raw descriptions, comments, or attachments.
  • OAuth tokens: Stored encrypted at rest with environment-scoped keys. You can revoke our access at any time via Settings → Integrations or your Atlassian account.
  • Scopes requested: Read-only access to Jira issues (read:jira-work), basic account info (read:jira-user), and refresh tokens (offline_access). We never request write access.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: Third parties that help us operate our service (hosting, AI processing)
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security assessments.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and data
  • Export your data
  • Opt out of marketing communications

9. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can delete your account and data at any time from your account settings.
